The Reichenbach Family Archive

I founded and lead the Reichenbach Family Archive, a digital museum of my family’s Jewish life in Halberstadt and Wernigerode, persecution, exile, and continuity. It began with my grandfather Dolf’s 1938 letter and grew into a place for documents, photographs, objects, and testimony.

For me, preserving these records is part of teaching Jewish memory: inviting learners to encounter a person’s words, examine the evidence, and recognize what remains unknown. Sources, interpretation, and family testimony stay distinct; contributors receive credit.
