Selected work
Preaching and worship. Watch my 2022 senior sermon, or explore worship and Torah samples. I choose music to serve the prayer, the learners, and the moment.
Jewish memory and public teaching. I founded and lead the Reichenbach Family Archive, bringing family records into a digital museum with sources, credits, and uncertainties visible. Read Dolf’s 1938 letter (English translation by Rabbi Dr. Esther Jilovsky) and explore the teaching guide.
Creative Torah interpretation. VisualMidrash invites people into Jewish sources through close reading and visual art.
Educational leadership
As Assistant KESHER Director and Music and Tefilah Specialist at Larchmont Temple, I collaborate with educational and clergy leadership, staff, educators, learners, and families. My work includes K–7 spiral-curriculum redesign, educator mentoring, program operations, worship, family learning, and congregation-wide experiences.
Pastoral formation
Three units of Clinical Pastoral Education and more than 1,500 encounters with patients and families at NYU Langone Health continue to shape how I listen, accompany, and lead. I learned that pastoral presence begins before explanation, with attention to the person, belief, fear, silence, or practical need in front of me.
Rabbinic vision
I understand the rabbinate as work of interpretation, relationship, and presence. A rabbi helps a community encounter Jewish tradition honestly, build practices that people can participate in, and remain connected through celebration, learning, disagreement, grief, and change.
I am drawn to communities that take learning seriously across generations, value collaboration among clergy, educators, staff, and lay leaders, and believe creativity and rigor strengthen one another.
Music is one of the ways I practice that rabbinate. As a songleader and guitarist, I use communal singing to help people enter prayer, participate across differences in familiarity, and experience worship as something a community creates together. I truly believe that, like with the cherubim on the Ark of the Covenant, God shows up in the space between us when we come together as a sacred community.
